Jasmine Fried Rice

    Ingredients:

      3 tablespoons vegetable oil
      1 egg
      3 cloves garlic, minced
      1 cup fresh peas
      2 scallions, chopped
2 tablespoons Minced Red Chili Peppers, (optional)
4 cups prepared Soft Jasmine Rice
      1/4 teaspoon black pepper
      2 teaspoons soy sauce
      1/4 pound bean sprouts

    Directions:

Heat oil in a large skillet or wok. Add egg and scramble until cooked. Add garlic,  peas, scallion and Minced Red Chili Peppers. Stir-fry 2 minutes. Add Soft Jasmine Rice and  stir-fry until hot, about 5 minutes. Season with black pepper and soy sauce. Stir well.  Add bean sprouts and heat thorough. Serve.

Note: When making fried rice, it is always best to use leftover or day old rice to  avoid a sticky mess. If you wish to make a particular type of rice (such as shrimp, pork  or chicken) this ingredient should be added before Step 2 and cooked completely before  continuing.
