Ingredients:
2/3 cup honey
2/3 cup molasses
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/3 cup eggs, slightly beaten
4 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
salt, to taste
Directions:
Combine and blend honey, molasses, brown sugar, butter and egg. Combine and sift together flour and remaining dry ingredients; add to honey mixture. Mix well. Refrigerate until chilled. Roll out
1/8-inch thick and cut with 3- to 4-inch bear cookie cutter. Bake at 350[F oven 12 minutes until lightly browned. Brush with icing and decorate with currants or raisins, if desired.
Decorator's Icing:
Mix 8 ounce sifted confectioners' sugar with 3 to 4 tablespoons water to brushing consistency.
