Filo Cups

    Ingredients

      4 sheets Filo dough
      2 tbs. Butter

    Directions

    Preheat oven to 375o f. On work surface, stack sheets of filo one on top of  the other, and cut crosswise then lengthwise to obtain 16 pieces. Place 2 pieces of filo  one on top of each other, brush top sheet with melted butter. Arrange in 10 oz. custard  cups or muffin tins. Place 2 more pieces of filo one on top of each other and brush top  with melted butter. Place crosswise over filo in cup and crimp edges. Repeat with  remaining filo to make 4 cups in all. Bake 10 - 12 minutes until filo is crisp and golden.  Cool in cups on wire rack. Carefully remove from cups and fill with desired filling.

    Fillings can include ice creams with different fruit sauces, custards, mousses,  puddings.

    Filo cups can also be used for savory hot or cold fillings to be used as appetizers
